There are times when no matter what you do, nothing seems to go the way you had hoped it would. For many of San Luis Obispo’s homeless that plays itself out most of the time.
In the past couple of weeks some of the homeless I know have become all excited about a possible job that they thought they had a good chance at getting. They start talking about how nice it will be to have a chance at making some money, how they’re going to work on saving enough for a car or deposit on an place to live then – just like that – the bottom drops out of the dream.
